Chrétien Géofroy Nestler, name also given as Christian Gottfried Nestler (1 March 1778, Strasbourg – 2 October 1832), was an Alsatian botanist and pharmacist. He studied under Louis Claude Richard in Paris, and in 1806–1810 served as a military pharmacist.〔(BHL ) Taxonomic literature : a selective guide to botanical publications〕 He was later a professor of botany to the faculty of medicine at the University of Strasbourg and a chief pharmacist of Strasbourg hospices.
